Teresa is the President and Founder of the company. Her career in the publishing industry started in 1989 when she began working at Tusquets Editores where she run the rights department for over a decade. She became an agent in 1999 and founded The Foreign Office in 2009. Besides her role as an agent she served as Vice President at the Association of Literary Agencies from 2012 to 2020.
Júlia graduated from the University of València, where she majored in English Studies, and got her Masters Degree in Publishing in Barcelona. After professionally reading for Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, she joined the agency in 2015 as Foreign Rights Agent. She yearly attends London and Frankfurt.
Núria graduated at University of Barcelona in Literary Studies and got her Master in Publishing in UPF Barcelona School of Management. Passionate about art, cinema and literature, being part of the cultural and publishing world has always been inseparably linked with her way of living. After two years working in other Spanish publishing houses, she joined The Foreign Office’s team in 2019.
Cristina graduated in English Studies at Complutense University in Madrid and got her Master’s on Publishing at UAM. She worked at ACER Agencia Literaria for over 4 years. In 2019 she decided to move to Barcelona and work at Planeta as Content Development Manager for children TV shows. In 2021 in her determination to following a rights agent career, she joined The Foreign Office’s team.
Irene graduated in English Philology by the University of Santiago de Compostela and then did the Masters in Publishing at the UPF Barcelona School of Management. Born in Castellón, and brought up in Santiago, she decided to stay in Barcelona after doing an internship in the Rights Department at Ediciones Urano. Later on she worked at the same department at literary agency Sandra Bruna. She joined the TFO team at the beginning of 2022, where she handles payments, sales statements, and certificates.
